This design was based on how physicians typically placed orders prior to electronic ordering systems. The physician’s ‘Order Sheet’ contained their most commonly placed orders and they could easily check off the orders that they wanted to place in a matter of seconds. This solution provided a customizable “quick pick” order screen of their most commonly placed orders. It allowed them to easily configure their layout through drag and drop configurable tabs, columns and collapsible sections. A user could easily customize their screen’s layout to their liking, and then rely on muscle memory to quickly select items as needed.
